Delete your account
How to have your Runewards account and the data that goes with it removed. This covers the game on every platform, including Runewards: Strategy Card Game on Google Play, and this website.
Revised 11 September 2026
How to ask
There are three ways, and all three delete the same things.
- In the game. Open the menu, then Settings → Delete account. Confirm with your password, or with your username if you sign in through Google or Steam. The account is deleted at once and the game returns to the sign-in screen.
- On this website. Sign in, read this page, and use the form at the foot of it.You are signed in, so the form is at the foot of this page. Same confirmation, same immediate result. Your profile links here too.
- By email, if you can no longer sign in. Follow the steps below.
- Step 1. Send an email to support@runewards.net with the subject Delete my Runewards account. Include the username you play with.
- Step 2. Send it from the email address on the account. If you signed up with Google, that is the address of the Google account you sign in with. This is how we know the request is yours; if it arrives from another address, we will ask you to confirm it from the account's address or by signing in.
- Step 3. We delete the account within 30 days of confirming the request, usually within a few days, and send you one email when it is done. You can cancel the request at any time before that by replying to the same thread.
Deletion is permanent. A deleted account cannot be restored, and its username is released for anyone to take.
What is deleted
Everything the account holds on our servers:
- The account itself: username, email address, password hash, and the link to a Google or Steam account if you signed in with one.
- Your profile, including the display name and any full name you typed in.
- Your card collection, decks, in-game currency balances, chests and rewards.
- Your progress: campaign chapters, quests, ranks, leagues, achievements and leaderboard entries.
- Your friends list and every chat message you sent or received.
- Match history that is tied to your account.
- Error reports and game logs that name your account.
Nothing is kept on the device once you uninstall the game; the game stores its settings and cached art in the app's own folder, which Android removes with the app.
What is kept, and for how long
- Payment records. If you bought anything, the record of the payment (what, when, how much) is kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires, and then deleted. It is kept without the account it belonged to.
- Server logs. Routine server logs, which may contain your IP address and the calls the game made, are rotated automatically and are gone within a few weeks. They are not searched by account and are not kept for you.
- Aggregate statistics. Counts such as how many matches were played on a day are kept. They contain nothing that identifies you.
Google Play keeps its own record of your purchases and installs under Google's policy; we do not control it.
Removing some data only
You do not have to close the account to have parts of it removed. Your full name can be cleared yourself, on the website under Edit profile. For anything else, write to the same address, from the account's email, and say what you want gone: unlink a Google or Steam sign-in, clear your chat history, or reset your display name. Each is done within 30 days and confirmed by email.
